After the crucial bomb blast in Karachi at Pakistan former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's motorcade on this morning, killing atleast 135 people and injuring over 545 people, leaders accross the world have condemmed the terrorist attack.
The United States said no political cause can justify the murder of innocent people. 'The US condemns the terrorist attacks in Karachi during a peaceful political rally for former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. There is no political cause that can justify the murder of innocent people,'' the State Department has said in a statement.
On his part the Australian prime minister also condemned stating Al-Qaida could have targeted Bhutto because of her support for the US war on terror and added ''It is a reminder of the evil of Al-Qaida. It is a reminder of how important it is not to concede a victory to them in Iraq or in Afghanistan,'
The European Union's Portuguese presidency also condemned the deadly blasts.
Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have condemned the attacks. In a statement issued by the state-run news agency, Musharraf said the attacks represented ''a conspiracy against democracy.''
